Privacy

Your songs, charts and projects never leave your device, in the app or in the browser. There are no accounts, ads or cookies.

The desktop app

Sends nothing about you or your songs. It downloads the models from Hugging Face once, and checks GitHub for a newer version once a day (you can turn that off in Settings).

The browser version

Runs the same models inside the page. The song you pick is read in your browser and never uploaded. To see what works and what breaks, it sends a few counts. Each one is an event and a few coarse fields, added to a total for that day. Nothing else is kept: no single events, no IP addresses, no IDs, nothing about your song or its file.

Every count
Browser family (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), desktop or mobile, Autochart version.
A chart starts, finishes or fails
Model, difficulty, WebGPU or CPU. How long it took and how long the song is, as ranges. For a failure, the step and a fixed reason such as "out of memory".
An Inpaint finishes or fails
Model, WebGPU or CPU, and the time as a range or the step and reason.
A run is cut short
The step, and whether the tab was closed or crashed.
A song is exported
.sng, .zip or a songs folder.
A model is downloaded
Which one.
The Lite model is offered
Whether it was taken.

Error messages are never sent, since they can name your file. Turn the counts off with Share usage counts in Settings. They're also off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

The code is public: what the page sends and what the server keeps.

This site

Cloudflare hosts it. Like any host, it sees your IP address and the pages you ask for. The site keeps its own daily totals, the same way the browser version does: no cookies, no IDs, no IP addresses, no single visits.

A page is opened
Which page, desktop or mobile, browser family, and the kind of site you came from (such as Reddit, YouTube or a search engine; never the full address).
The first click on a page
That something was clicked, so we can tell visits from bounces.
A link to another site is clicked
Which one, such as GitHub or Hugging Face.
A download or Open in browser button is used
Which system's file, and which button. These are counted by the link itself, like a download counter.

Apart from the download and Open in browser totals, nothing is counted when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
