Changelog
What changed in each version, newest first. Files and checksums are on GitHub.
0.2.0 Soon
- Fretformer 2: a new model that follows the guitar more closely, and marks solos and sections.
- Inpaint: pick some bars and generate just those again.
- In your browser: the same app, with nothing to install.
- Edit by hand: move, add and delete notes on the Edit tab.
- Queue: pick songs in the Library and they chart one after another.
- Spanish and Portuguese: pick a language in Settings, or let it follow your computer.
- Tighter timing: beats land on the drums far more often. Old takes keep theirs.
- Projects come back: exports carry the project, so a song opens again with all its takes.
- Covers for every song: songs without album art get one of their own.
- Updates: the app tells you when there's a new version and installs it.
Smaller changes
- Watch the stems and beats come in while a song gets ready.
- Style faders and more settings on Generate.
- Drop song folders on the Library to bring them in.
- Space plays and pauses on the Generate page.
- Separations take far less room. Keep separated stems in Settings keeps them.
- Exports use square album art.
- Lite: an experimental model for devices that can't separate stems in reasonable time.
- Fixed a black screen when opening a project.
- The Library shows what's selected in light mode again.
Updating from 0.1.0
- Download this one by hand. 0.1.0 can't update itself.
- Your songs, projects and settings stay as they are.
- Fretformer 2 is a separate download, about 950 MB. The app offers it right after you update.
- Old takes still open, but they can't be combined with new ones in a final chart. See Rules.
0.1.0 Sep 2026
- The first release: lead guitar charts for Clone Hero and YARG, made on your own computer.
- Generate from a song, or add Easy, Medium and Hard to a Clone Hero song's Expert chart using its timing.
- Preview and compare takes, pick the best for each difficulty, and export a song folder.
