Export

Exporting turns the final chart into a Clone Hero / YARG song, with its audio, album art and background. Fill at least one difficulty of the final chart first.

Save to Clone Hero / YARG

Save to Clone Hero / YARG puts the song straight into your songs folder, as its own song folder. The first time, Autochart asks where your songs folder is; change it later in Settings → Folders.

Rescan your songs in the game and it shows up. Saving again replaces Autochart's copy, so you can fix a take and save without making duplicates.

Export

WhereWhat Export does
DesktopAsks for a folder and writes the song folder there.
BrowserDownloads one .sng file, or a .zip of the song folder. Pick which in Settings → Export.

A .sng goes into your songs folder as it is; Clone Hero and YARG read it like a folder. A .zip unzips into a song folder you can edit by hand.

In the desktop Library, Export all and Save each to Clone Hero / YARG in the queue handle many songs at once.

What's in a song

FileWhat it is
notes.chartThe chart, with every difficulty you filled, plus sections, solos and star power.
song.iniTitle, artist, album, year, genre, charter and length.
song.oggThe song's audio, with any lead-in silence. In the browser, audio the games can't read is saved as WAV.
album.png or .jpgThe album art, square.
BackgroundAn image, or video.webm for a video. A video waits out the lead-in so it stays in sync.
autochart.jsonThe whole project. Bring the song back into Autochart and it opens with all its takes.

Edit the title, artist and the rest under Song at the top of the project.

Credits

Generated charts list Autochart as the charter, and song.ini notes which difficulties were generated. If you brought in someone else's chart, their credit stays on their difficulties.

Sharing

Your charts are yours: play them, stream them, send them to friends. Please keep them off community chart sites, which are for charts people made by hand.

Checking it in the game

The highway in Autochart is a preview. Play the song in Clone Hero or YARG before calling it done: check the opening, the ending, and that the notes line up with the music.
